Can you believe this was our first sign in 1981!? At least it was a start.

The BEGIN AGAIN SHOPPE first opened in 1981. Since that time The SHOPPE has grown to over 10,000 Consignors. I first started The SHOPPE as a way to dispose of my husband Randall’s suits which he had “outgrown”. Not knowing anyone to whom I could give the suits, I decided to open a consignment store and consign them.

Over the years The SHOPPE has been in 3 different locations, the first being in the basement of Randall’s law office in a home built in the mid-1800’s. It was a small beginning as we were the first consignment business in our area, but one-by-one, our Consignor base began to develop and The SHOPPE began to grow.

As our number of faithful Consignors and Customers grew, we needed to expand. In 1989 we had our first major upgrade. We moved from the basement and into a store-type building. Our new home was right off the main thoroughfare through Morristown and that’s where we continued to grow for the next several years.

In 2003 we needed to relocate again as our current building was being sold. This time an ideal opportunity developed as a furniture store on “the boulevard” was closing. I was able to purchase this building for our current location.

Through the years our Consignor base has grown to over 10,000, and our many Customers have been loyal to shop with us. We have become the largest consignment shop in the Lakeway area, and we have Consignors and Customers from all across Tennessee and beyond.

We truly have been blessed with excellent Staff, Consignors and Customers through the years. All have contributed to what The BEGIN AGAIN SHOPPE has become as we are a contributing business in our community.

Finally, and most importantly, we give God the glory for development of BEGIN AGAIN, as it has only been by His mercy and guidance that our faithful and talented staff and the perfection of our locations have been available and timed exactly to meet the changing needs of the business. From our original basement location in a residential home from the 19′th century to our current “home” in an over 10,000 square foot location (1127 W. Morris Boulevard) we have grown to meet the needs of our Consignors and Customers. None of these things have occured by chance as there is a loving God who has made it all possible for our Staff and Consignors and Customers to be essential contributors to the process.

As one of our Customers said, “You should charge admission just to get in this place because it is so much fun to shop here.” We do not charge admission but we do invite you in to shop with us, whether as a Consignor to sell, or as a Customer to buy.
